Research Interests

Plácido is highly interested in regenerative medicine and bioengineering methods to accomplish it. His research focuses on the effects of conjugated polymers on cell growth, and optical & electrical biomodulation. Additionally, he works on developing a specific and modular cell culture stimulation platform, cell & material morphology, and fabrication/design processes.
