Adel receives the “Lab Safety” award! Thanks Adel for keeping us safe!

“This award will acknowledge and reward outstanding individuals for their contributions that promote stronger safety culture in the university throughout the year. 

The award recognizes an individual who meets one or more of the following criteria: 

• Initiating and/or leading a successful safety initiative.
• Reporting unsafe working laboratory conditions and working to correct conditions and minimize hazards.
• Minimize risk in the lab or in a specific experiment by using hazards controls.
• Promoting safe behavior and a safe working environment inside the laboratory.
• Initiating changes in procedures, training requirements or other administrative controls that help to improve safety within the laboratory.
• Engaging lab members and transforming the safety culture of the organization.”
